Card and Reader Selection

• While cards or tags will work on any of the reader range, matching the best reader size for the selected technology can have an impact on read range
• The card and reader make an electronic couple between the wire coils in each, much like a transformer does. The more closely these coils match in physical size, the better the resulting couple and the more energy the card will receive
• The greatest read range for tags will be achieved with tSec Mini readers
• The greatest read range for cards will be achieved with tSec Extra readers
• tSec Standard readers provide a balanced read range for both cards and tags
