Connectivity and System Expansion

Expanding the Protege System with local inputs and outputs from the keypad, allows convenient cost effective expansion:

• 2 inputs (4 using input duplex) can be used to perform any system alarm and automation functions with a dedicated enclosure tamper switch
• 1 low current output for driving any signaling device
• Two controllable LEDs on the display
• Controllable buzzer
• Intelligent backlight to minimize power consumption
• Configuration and addressing of the keypad is achieved by a simple easy to follow configuration menu available during initialization
