Using the Alternate Dialing Method

By default, the service uses sequential dialing meaning that the phone numbers programmed are all dialed sequentially. For example, if the number of dialing attempts is set to 4 the service will try Phone Number 1 four times. If that fails, it will then try Phone Number 2 four times. And if that fails, it will try Phone Backup four 4 times. If it still fails, it stops trying until the next reportable event is generated, then starts again from Phone Number 1.

When Use Alternate Dialing Method is enabled, the service alternates between the Primary Phone Number and the Backup Phone Number, and if - after the number of Dial Attempts has been reached - it still fails, the service then tries Phone Number 2 four times.
