Hardware Requirements

Based on this scenario we need:

• 1 card reader
• 1 available reader port
• 4 Form C relay outputs (1 for each controlled floor)

So we're going to use the following hardware:

• 1 PRT-WX-DIN Controller
• 1 PRT-RDM2-DIN
• 1 PRT-PX8-DIN
• 1 Card Reader

We could connect the card reader to the Controller's onboard reader port, however in this case we're already using the Controller for door access control so have chosen to use the RDM2.
