Input Follows Output

The Input Follows Output function controls the state of an Input based on the state of an output.

When using this function:

• If the output turns ON, the programmed input opens.
• If the output turns OFF, the programmed input closes.

This is commonly used when a Contact ID message needs to be sent to a monitoring station if an output is turned on.

This function can also be used when an input type or area function needs to be triggered by an output. Examples of this would be the toggle functions in input types or the output pulse functions in areas.
