Power Requirements

Protege DIN Rail hardware is supplied by a 12V DC power supply connected to the N+ and N- terminals. It does not contain internal regulation or isolation. We recommend a PRT‑PSU‑DIN for this purpose, although any clean 12V DC supply is suitable.

In this configuration - using a PRT-PSU-DIN-4A - a maximum module network load of 3A can be supplied. This includes all expanders and connected ancillary devices such as readers and PIRs.
