Making Sense of the Phone Numbers

Most monitoring stations have several phone lines that can be used for reporting

  • When configuring the Contact ID Service, you can assign up to 3 phone numbers. In many cases, one of these numbers will be for an alternative monitoring station.
  • The sequence that these numbers are dialed, depends on the dialing method used.
  • Each phone number can also have an operating schedule and a different (secondary) number can be programmed for when the schedule isn't valid.
  • This allows you to report messages to one telephone number or monitoring station during a normal day (8am to 5pm), and to report them to another location outside of these hours.
