Creating a Virtual Output

To avoid confusion in the event log, we're not going to use the same output to show the status of the area and to validate the schedule we're going to create. So that we don't have to use one of the physical outputs, we're going to create a virtual output.

• Navigate to Programming | Outputs.
• Click Add.
• Name the output VO Area Armed.
• Set the Module Type to Output (PX).
• Select an address of a device that is unlikely to be physically connected to the system in the future.
